We recently received an 18K gold ring set with numerous diamonds covering half of the band.
Did you know that sometimes even ring resizing requests can be declined? 😭
If the size needs to be increased or decreased by more than 30% of the original size, it is considered a major resizing.
Major resizing carries higher risks, such as the ring losing its perfectly round shape.
Because of these risks, some stores may refuse such requests.
In this case, the original ring size was 11. (Japanese size)
A size adjustment of 3 sizes or more is considered a major resizing.
The customer requested a size reduction of 4 sizes, which qualifies as a major resizing.
But don’t worry!!
At our store, as long as customers understand and accept the potential risks, we are happy to accommodate major size adjustments.
