Size Reduction – From L to M

Today, we’d like to introduce a repair case for a CHANEL Première watch. We handle repairs for many types of watches, and among them, the Première is one of the most common we receive.

The Première became very popular during Japan’s “bubble era,” and in recent years, it has seen a revival in popularity ✨

This model was originally sold as a watch that could not be resized, so customers who want to adjust the size to better fit their wrist are often delighted with our service 😊 This time, we performed a leather cord replacement and a belt size reduction.

The original size was L, with a total length of about 18 cm.

We removed two rows (four links) to resize it to M size.

At the same time, we replaced the leather cord.

After Repair↓

The total length is approximately 16.5 cm. Each link of the Première measures about 7.2 mm, so reducing the size from L to M (two links) shortens the bracelet by around 15 mm. The same calculation applies when resizing from M to S.

Size increases are also made in two-link (15 mm) increments — so you can think of S → M → L as each step adding about 15 mm.

We can also create intermediate sizes, such as between S and M or between M and L.

You can choose between:

　・ Replacement using genuine CHANEL leather cords, or

　・ Replacement using leather cords very similar to the original.

The appearance is nearly identical, so many customers prefer the latter to keep costs reasonable.

In addition to repair, metal replating and cleaning are also very popular options.✨

Over years of use, it’s natural for the plating to fade or for dirt to accumulate. With cleaning or replating, your watch can regain a brilliant, like-new shine ✨

Since watches aren’t often professionally cleaned, we recommend having cleaning or replating done together with your repair to make your piece look brand new again.
