Today, we’re introducing our 60-minute Silver Pair Ring Making Experience 💍✨

This time, our featured guests are two lovely people from within the prefecture — M-san and I-san (from the left in the photo).

Their inspiration came after visiting the GUNMA CRAFT MARKET held at G Messe Takasaki. That’s where they said to each other, “Let’s make pair rings someday!”😊

And just one week later, here they were — making a same-day reservation!
Talk about “striking while the iron is hot” 🔨✨ When you go to a craft market, you can’t help but feel inspired to make something yourself, right?👀

After arriving, guests first discuss their design and ring sizes before starting the crafting process.

Let’s start making your pair rings!！

First, using the wooden mallet 🔨 you’re holding, you’ll carefully hammer the ring to shape it into a perfect circle and adjust it to fit your finger just right. One great thing about handmade rings is that you can make them perfectly match your own finger size, regardless of the numbers!💡

Next comes the polishing — it’s fun to watch the ring become shinier and shinier 😊

They also added hammered texture (tsuchime)! This involves tapping the surface to create beautiful patterns. Since hammering affects the ring size slightly, fine adjustments are made during this step. After trying the ring on several times, they achieved the perfect fit 💖

The texture varies depending on how hard you strike the metal. M-san wanted both rings to have the same look, so I-san helped with a few taps♡ It was heartwarming to see them working together and checking their progress 😊

Finally, they engraved their initials inside the rings.
