Today, we would like to introduce our handmade wedding ring experience 😊
At our shop, we offer a hands-on experience course where you can create your own rings using platinum (Pt900). With one-on-one support from a skilled craftsman, you can enjoy an authentic jewelry-making experience.
This course is especially popular with customers who say:
・ “We want to create something that will last a lifetime with our own hands.”
・ “We want to turn a special memory into something tangible.”
・ “We want to try real metalworking.”
This time, we welcomed a newlywed couple visiting from Nagano Prefecture ✨
They had looked at many ready-made wedding rings, but found it difficult to decide because there were simply too many options 💧
So they thought: “Why don’t we just make them ourselves?” 😊
They chose our shop because the groom’s family home was nearby and because the rings can be taken home on the same day.
(Please note: rings requiring stone setting or laser engraving will need to be kept temporarily for processing.)
The groom is originally from Gunma, and on this very day, the couple planned to visit his family to formally greet them.
Showing their wedding rings and saying, “We just made these today!” would surely surprise everyone 😄
After discussing ring sizes and designs, it was time to begin the crafting process 💪
Ring-Making Process 🔨
(1) Preparing the Platinum
Our craftsman prepares platinum bars tailored to each customer’s ring size.
(2) Annealing
The platinum is heated with a gas burner to soften it for shaping 🔥
(3)Bending into Shape
The platinum is bent and shaped closer to a ring form. In no time, the straight bar transforms into a ring 💍✨
(4) Welding
You will weld the joint yourself by placing a special material on the seam and melting it to fill the gap.
It may sound difficult, but by following the craftsman’s instructions, it’s quite manageable♪ Still, since this is a crucial step, everyone tends to look a little nervous… (·_·;)
The welding was completed beautifully ✨
(5) Polishing
You polish the ring until it shines brilliantly ✨
During this step, the three of us enjoyed chatting—apparently, the craftsman visits Nagano every year!
They even talked about a famous mackerel sandwich (maybe?) 🐟
Nagano sounds fascinating (´∀｀)
The bride mentioned that her favorite school subject was art, and she truly loves creating things 😊
She repeatedly said, “This is so fun!” throughout the process 💕
(6) Engraving
You also engrave the rings yourself!
Each person takes their turn—an exciting and slightly tense moment!
The engraving turned out beautifully ✨
If you would like handwritten text or illustrations engraved using laser engraving, the rings will be kept temporarily and returned at a later date.
That completes the crafting process!

After final polishing and cleaning, the rings are ready to be handed over 🎁
