our handmade baby ring 😊

Baby rings are a popular choice to celebrate a baby’s birth or their 100th day milestone. By crafting a ring based on the baby’s actual finger size,you can always look back and think,

That’s one of the most heartwarming charms of this keepsake. You can also engrave the baby’s name, height, weight, and birthday, making it a perfect way to record their growth 🍀

This time, our customers—a mother, a father, and their little girl R-chan— came all the way from Maebashi City to make a baby ring for R-chan’s 100-day celebration 💍

First, we measured her finger size.

Did you know that there are sizes even smaller than size 1? Baby rings are often smaller than that 😊

R-chan’s finger size was 0.11!

Baby hands are so chubby and adorable, aren’t they? 💕

Forged by Hand: The Melting Process

Now, let’s take a look at the making process.

Here’s the metal before melting 👀

The parents melted the metal themselves —

It only takes a few seconds, so don’t blink! 🔥

And here’s the melted material.
From here, it’s hammered and shaped into a ring.

R-chan seemed a bit fussy 🥺 so while her mother soothed her, her father worked hard on the shaping.

Look how much the metal stretched out!Metal is truly amazing.

The long rod of metal is then hammered differently to form a circular shape.

And here’s the rounded ring — so tiny and adorable! 😊

Next comes the polishing process —

using files and polishing tools to make it shine.

Because it’s so small, it’s even more challenging than making an adult ring 💦 But the father did an excellent job!

That completes the customer’s process.
