Today, we would like to introduce a jewelry remodeling case in which a platinum ring was melted down and recreated as an engagement ring.

The bride had inherited a precious ring from her grandmother, and the couple visited us together with the wish to “melt it down and turn it into an engagement ring.”

Because remodeling by melting the original ring involves many detailed processes, the cost is higher than a standard redesign.

Even so, they carefully honored their strong desire to “have it melted and remade,” and decided to proceed with this special remodeling. We were deeply moved by the depth of their feelings for the grandmother 😌

We are truly grateful to have been able to help bring their heartfelt sentiments into a tangible form.

Here is the ring we received⇩

It was a Pt900 ring set with ten diamonds.

The crossed design and the ten diamonds give the ring a gorgeous impression ✨

However, reusing all ten diamonds would have made the new ring too voluminous, so at the customer’s request, we decided to reuse just one diamond 💎

The design was finalized together through consultation 😊

Here is the finished piece✨

The largest diamond was reused from the grandmother’s ring,
and the platinum used for the new ring was the very metal melted down from the original ring.

The smaller diamonds were carefully color-matched and prepared by us.

The remaining nine diamonds were returned to the customer.

The gently waved, crossed design creates a very elegant look ✨

Although the form has changed, you can still sense the essence of the original ring.

By choosing to remodel it into her own engagement ring, the bride truly honored its significance—surely her grandmother would be delighted 😊

We sincerely hope it will be cherished for many years to come.
