When we think of engagement rings, we often imagine the classic proposal scene — the ring box opening with a “click” 💍

But how about choosing a different path this time — making the ring together?

It’s perfect for couples who love handmade items, want an original design, or prefer to choose the ring style and size together instead of leaving it as a surprise 😊

Today, we’d like to introduce the lovely couple who created their own engagement ring with us. By the way, they also made their wedding rings later on — we’ll share that story in another post! 🌟

They were drawn to the originality and uniqueness of handmade rings and decided to visit our shop. Thank you so much for choosing us 😊

We discussed the design and size together on the same day. At first, they were considering a simple design, but A fell in love at first sight with one of our sample rings — and that became their final choice!

The material is Platinum (Pt950).

Soon, the metal became a single, glowing lump.

They hammered it from a round shape into a square 🔨

Then, using a roller, they stretched the metal together — one turning the handle, the other guiding the metal through.

As the metal is hammered and stretched, it becomes stronger and stronger. This process is called forging, and it produces a ring that’s much more durable than those made by casting. ✨

By putting in time and effort, they created a ring that holds both emotional and physical value 💕

Next, they cut the ends of the metal.

Because of the ring’s design, they needed to slightly hammer the area where the diamond would be set — a tricky part, but R did an excellent job! ✨

Then came the filing and polishing steps. They split the work — one polished the inside, the other the outside — perfectly as a team 😊

They chatted happily while working, even sharing stories about their upcoming trip the following week 🌟

After several minutes of polishing, their part of the work was complete. We took care of the final finishing and stone setting. ☕

With the diamond set, it became a truly stunning engagement ring. A completely original, handmade ring — created by the two of them 💕 The floral design chosen by A suits her perfectly — always cheerful and full of warmth.
