[Remake by Melting] Turning Parents’ Rings into Wedding Bands 💍 | From Ota City
From Parents to Children, from Children to Grandchildren… Jewelry Passed Down Through Generations
Hello, and thank you for visiting the LA CHOU CHOU blog.
One day, we received a special request:
“We would like to melt down my parents’ 18K gold rings and remake them into wedding rings for us as a couple.”✨
At our shop, it is possible to melt down and reuse jewelry you already own—such as rings, necklaces, or earrings—and craft them into new wedding bands.◎
By reusing jewelry, not only can you reduce the cost of materials, but if the pieces were inherited, the original owner will also feel joy knowing their jewelry continues to be cherished in a new form(^▽^)/ In fact, many customers choose to transform their parents’ rings or heirloom jewelry from their grandparents into wedding rings. This creates a timeless piece that embodies family bonds and history, while also giving birth to new meaning and value🫢

Here is the ring we received⇩
This time, we were given two 18K gold rings from the couple’s parents. When weighed, the two rings turned out to be almost exactly the same weight.

Inside each band, there were engraved dates—precious reminders of the journey the parents had walked together. Now, these rings would be reborn into a new form, to accompany the daughter and her husband on their journey together.

💍The Finished Rings
The parents’ wedding rings were melted and remade into brand-new 18K Pink Gold wedding bands.
・ Left: 18K PG / Round Straight / 2.5mm width
・ Right: 18K PG / Round Straight / 2.2mm width

The soft pink hue of the pink gold adds a delicate, charming touch and blends beautifully with the skin tone😊 On the inside of each ring, the couple’s own special date has been engraved ♡ These reborn rings will now accompany them in creating countless new, happy memories together🍀

Do You Have Jewelry Sleeping at Home?
・ Jewelry you bought when you were younger but no longer wear
・ Jewelry inherited from your parents
・ Jewelry treasured by your grandmother
Many of these pieces are simply stored away, without being enjoyed to their fullest.
By remodeling or remaking them, they can be reborn into jewelry that fits your lifestyle and is easy to wear every day.
It’s such a waste to keep them hidden away—why not take this opportunity to breathe new life into them? ✨
