The other day, I saw a young woman in a furisode (traditional long-sleeved kimono) walking out of a photo studio with her mother 👀
Perhaps she was on her way to show her grandparents her kimono or visiting a shrine for a photoshoot! 📸

Speaking of Coming-of-Age Day, this time we’d like to share a heartwarming story — a jewelry remodeling project for a daughter celebrating her coming of age. 💍✨

Three Generations Visiting Together

At the end of August, a long-time customer who first visited us 11 years ago returned to our store — this time with her mother and her daughter. We are deeply grateful for your continued trust and support 😊 The purpose of their visit was to remodel jewelry as a coming-of-age gift for their daughter, Ms. F, who will celebrate her milestone this winter.

The idea was to combine jewelry pieces cherished by three generations of the family into one beautiful new ring. 💍✨

What a wonderful and meaningful gift — transforming family memories into a one-of-a-kind treasure that will last a lifetime! 🥺

The Three Pieces to Be Reused⇩

①The remaining piece of a hand-engraved platinum ring that was used in a previous remodeling

②A platinum diamond ring that once belonged to the grandmother

③A piece of gold originally from the grandfather’s or grandmother’s ring, later reshaped into a keychain plate by the father

Ms. F chose a two-tone gold and platinum flower-motif ring from an online image. The gold and platinum were melted together to create the new ring, and the diamond from the platinum ring was reused.

The result was a delicate V-shaped ring with a single sparkling diamond 💍✨ A graceful design with a charming floral touch 💕

Interestingly, the flower motif Ms. F had chosen was very similar to a pendant her mother had made at our store 11 years ago! It may have been a coincidence, but we couldn’t help feeling that their shared sense of style beautifully reflected their family bond 🥰

When Ms. F received her finished ring, she was overjoyed — and so were her family members who had passed down the jewelry. It must have been deeply moving to see the heirloom reborn for the next generation 😊
